Training Opportunity: Incident Response to Terrorist Bombings (IRTB) at New Mexico Tech

Sent on behalf of Texas Division of Emergency Management.

All,

New Mexico Tech is needing to fill some summer Incident Response to Terrorist Bombings (IRTB) classes on short notice (August 7-10, August 13-16, August 14-17, August 20-23 and August 21-24). Please pass along to anyone you feel may benefit from the IRTB classes offered by New Mexico Tech this August.

The IRTB course provides first responders with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely respond to terrorist incidents involving explosives. The IRTB course focuses on first responder health and safety by addressing personal protection issues that arise when responding to terror incidents involving commercial and homemade explosive. Additionally, the course includes information on the recognition of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs); terrorist organizations, both foreign and domestic; and lessons learned from past terrorist incidents. This information better prepares first responders to safely recognize and respond to terrorist bombing threats. http://www.emrtc.nmt.edu/training/irtb.php

The application is attached here:Application-IRTB (002)

Anyone wanting to apply can fill it out and email back to me. I will get it to New Mexico Tech for immediate processing

Thank you for your assistance.
