Houston UASI Region Emergency Public Information Plan

Dear Houston UASI Region EPIP Working Group Member,

Thank you for your interest in helping shape the Houston UASI Region Emergency Public Information Plan (EPIP). This plan shall facilitate the operation of a regional Joint Information Center. This plan will be based on and will include applicable Federal plans and guidelines related to regional coordinated communication management. The plan that is created will likely serve as the guideline for coordinated public communication for the region in the coming years. Now is your opportunity to play a significant role to make certain the plan is the best it can be and will serve the citizens of the Houston region well.

I have previously circulated a link to a survey (https://www.piersystem.com/go/survey/3311/4307/) to help better understand the Working Group members and their organizations. Please take a few minutes and complete this survey. Some results may well be incorporated into the draft EPIP.

There will be a conference call this Friday afternoon (October 1) at 3:00 p.m. to briefly discuss the survey results and the scenario for the training and exercise in November. Please join us for this call. We shouldn’t go any longer than an hour.
