Protective Action Decisions Peer Planning Workshop Registration Page

Workshop at capacity; registration is closed; email to be put on a wait list

Some no-notice incidents may leave responders and emergency managers having to decide whether it is appropriate to have a community temporarily evacuate or shelter in place. The choice made results in cascading impacts that emergency managers need to be prepared for.

Join us for the Protective Action Decisions Peer Planning Workshop to hear about these impacts and the planning that should be done to prepare for them. The workshop will be held at The Woodlands Emergency Training Center from 9:00 to 3:00 on November 14, 2023.

This workshop aims to address best practices and challenges related to protective action decision making; stress the importance of coordination between the incident site to the emergency operations center (EOC) and from the EOC to supporting departments and organizations; and to help jurisdictions, agencies, and organizations develop or improve corresponding plans.
