Tech Work Group: Updated FEMA Technologies Available via National Resource Hub

Good afternoon UASI Technology Work Group members,

For those of you who do not receive the NIMS Alerts, please read below for an announcement from FEMA on new and updated technologies available under the National Resource Hub umbrella. This system unifies the Resource Typing Library Tool (RTLT), the OneResponder personnel tracking and credentialing system, and the new Resource Inventory System (RIS, which is likely an updated version of IRIS). The system is supposed to be federally-hosted at no cost to the end users.

At the end of the announcement below is a link to register for a series of webinars on these changes.

Thanks,

Ian and Gabe

FEMA Launches the National Resource Hub to Unify Resource Management Nationwide

FEMA is pleased to announce the launch of the National Resource Hub to support the community in implementing the resource management preparedness process defined in the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and the National Qualification System (NQS). The National Resource Hub is a suite of web-based tools that support a consistent approach for resource management. It serves as a no-cost solution for all state, local, tribal, and territorial government agencies, non-governmental organizations, and other mission partners.

The National Resource Hub is available as part of FEMA’s Preparedness Toolkit (PrepToolkit) and represents the consolidation of the existing Resource Typing Library Tool and OneResponder, as well as the launch of a new centralized and cloud-hosted Resource Inventory System. Provided below is a synopsis of each of the tools that are available today through the National Resource Hub:

Resource Typing Library Tool
Provides an online library of all resources typing definitions, job titles/position qualification sheets, and position task book (PTB) templates that have been released by FEMA as a part of the NIMS and NQS
Visit RTLT (RTLT is publicly accessible)

Resource Inventory System
Provides a solution for organizations to inventory and identify resources and personnel, consistently with NIMS resource typing definitions and job titles/position qualification sheets

OneResponder
Provides a solution for organizations and responders to manage personnel qualifications and training history as part of implementing a qualifications and credentialing management process consistently with the NQS
