ReDiscovery Training: Long Term Recovery for Individuals with Disabilities

The purpose of ReDiscovery is to provide training, technical assistance, and educational materials on long-term recovery services and resources for individuals with disabilities or other functional and access needs affected by Hurricane Harvey. Training is available either in person or online.

ReDiscovery in-person training sessions are available in one, 1.5, or 2-hour formats.
Objectives of the in-person sessions are to:

  • increase awareness of long-term recovery needs of individuals with disabilities impacted by Hurricane Harvey,
  • increase awareness of and readiness to use recovery resources and tools to support Hurricane Harvey survivors, and
  • know actions for mitigation of and preparedness for future disasters.

A case-based approach is available to practice the application of tools and resources.

To schedule a ReDiscovery in-person training please email disabilityresources@tamu.edu or call 979-224-7226.
