The Emergency Public Information & Warning Work Group resumed meetings for 2020.  In attendance: Shelli Carter, Charity Dominguez, Lach Mullen, and Tina Rose – City of Houston.  Dan Reilly – National Weather Service.

The group discussed the forthcoming Alert & Warning Workshop, scheduled for January 23rd at H-GAC, including a graphic display highlighting the relationships of Warning, Emergency Public Information, and Public Information.

We reviewed the new Warning section of the Regional Emergency Public Information Plan, as well as the Joint Information Center section.

Meetings in 2020 will be held every other month, to ensure that meeting content is meaningful and robust. The next meeting will be held in March (exact date TBD) and should feature a vendor demonstration.
