Houston Region CCTA Emergency Medical Services and Rescue Task Force Seminar Registration Page

The Houston region CCTA Grant Program is hosting a series of seminars related to different aspects of CCTAs and active attacks. The first seminar will bring in the following subject matter experts who will share their experiences with how EMS agencies and rescue task forces supported recent high-profile CCTAs and active attacks.

  • COL James Geracci, US Army, Retired, will speak on DoD lessons learned on ensuring survival of wounded.
  • Chief Jon Wiercinski, Clark County, NV, oversaw EMS response at Harvest Music Festival shootings in Las Vegas.
  • Dr. Alexander Eastman will speak on extricating wounded from both hot and warm zones during the Dallas Police shootings.
  • Mary Hernandez was in charge of EMS at the Sutherland Springs Church shooting.

The seminar will be held on December 9 from 8:30 to 4:30 at the Harris County Department of Education facility at 6300 Irvington Blvd, Houston, TX 77022. The seminar will be in the conference center above the parking garage.
