When emergency managers think of GIS, most equate that with maps. This workshop will bust this myth by demonstrating different ways partners in the Houston Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) region use GIS resources to convey information to better inform decision making. More importantly, this workshop will enable the UASI GIS Workgroup to work directly with regional partners to identify and prioritize projects to develop GIS resources that will be accessible to stakeholders on the regional GIS Hub.
This workshop is open to emergency management coordinators, GIS professionals, planners, first responders, and anyone with an interest in advancing the development of regional GIS resources.
Seating will be limited, so make sure to register soon.
