Good morning,
The following items were discussed at our October Technology Work Group meeting:
- Jesica Rubio (jesica.rubio@fortbendcountytx.gov) has assumed regional Jetty administration duties. The system enhancement projects are still working their way through Fort Bend County purchasing.
- WebEOC has resumed regular meetings on the last Tuesday of each month at 1:00pm. At the October meeting, the WebEOC information in the MYTEP was updated, and a bulk approval of any Sentinel changes was performed. The WebEOC Work Group will review applicable sections of the UASI Technology Governance at their next meeting.
- Information from our current Governance draft was summarized into a two-page document that will go out with UASI grant application materials. This was done to assist potential applicants with governance compliance without having to read the full document. Some edits made on the short version will be carried back into the full document once revisions resume.
- Jonathan Wiggins notified the group of a current federal funding opportunity related to technology. The Accelerate R2 Network Challenge (through the US Economic Development Administration) seeks to fund efforts for response innovation (specifically communications, technology, and equipment used by first responders in the field) and resiliency innovation (geared towards protecting and hardening networks to facilitate recovery and disaster resilience). An overview can be found at https://www.eda.gov/oie/accelerate-r2/. That page also includes the link to the full NOFO, information about a webinar later this month, and will include an FAQ once USEDA writes one.
Our next meeting will be on Thursday 21 November 2019. Further details and an agenda will be sent out approximately one week prior to the meeting.
Thanks!
Ian and Lach
